Family Network

BCNC's newest program is the Family Network, our family service component, which was launched in September, 2005.  Though this is a new initiative, BCNC’s programs have been engaged in delivering family service activities for over ten years.  Through our experience with families, we recognize the challenges of parenting as well as the incredible strengths that are present in families.  The Family Network program seeks to provide support to families, and to help families utilize their strengths to grow and flourish.

BCNC is committed to improving, expanding, and stabilizing the work that is done with families in each BCNC program, particularly in preventive health and mental health.  Our full-time family coordinator works with all BCNC programs to identify families in need, provide and coordinate services and activities, and support staff who work with families in crisis.

Family network activities include information sharing and coordination; workshops for adults, parents, youth and staff; parent support groups, counseling, case management and family services; and field trips and group activities.
