About the Oak Street Fair For 24 years, the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center, Inc. (BCNC) has hosted the Oak Street Fair with a simple goal: to bring children and families together for a fun day. The fair has grown bigger every year featuring games and activities, community resources and information, arts and crafts, entertainment, health screening and education, food, and the famous watermelon eating contest!
Join us! Sponsoring the Oak Street Fair provides you with the opportunity to reach the Asian community - the fastest growing racial group in the United States. The Asian American population in Massachusetts increased by 68% since 1990. Massachusetts ranked in the Top 10 States with the largest Asian Consumer Markets in 2003.
