The event will be held at our neighboring South End's emerging SOWA art district at Mohr & McPherson, an importer of fine furniture from Asia and around the globe. During this event and 24 hours thereafter, Mohr & McPherson will offer a 10% discount to those attending. Mohr & McPherson will also generously donate an additional 10% of the proceeds of all sales generated by this event back to BCNC.

Michele P. Brooks has served as the Assistant Superintendent for Family and Student Engagement for the Boston Public Schools since April 2008. Prior to serving in this role Ms. Brooks was the Principal Consultant for Transformative Solutions, an education consulting firm which focuses on organizational development, evaluation and program development for schools and school districts. She was the founding director of the Boston Parent Organizing Network, serving from 1999 until 2005 and was mayoral appointee to the Boston School Committee from 2005 - 2008. Ms Brooks holds a Bachelors degree in Educational Psychology from Cambridge College and a Masters Degree in Education Policy and Management from Harvard University. She resides in Boston and is the proud parent of three children and seven grandchildren.
