Greetings From Our Leadership
Welcome to our Lantern Festival Gala 2025! We are honored and thrilled to have you join us for this special occasion. This evening, we will honor Betty Szeto (30 years) and Selina Chow (18 years), our longest-serving Board members. We are grateful for their exceptional leadership, which has been instrumental in BCNC’s growth as a holistic, family-centered agency. Their dedication has left a lasting impact on BCNC and the communities we serve.
BCNC has over 50 years of experience, expertise, and proven history of addressing urgent needs of Asian and new immigrants. While national policies may change, bringing uncertainty to our communities, BCNC remains committed to building a more equitable future and strengthening families. But we can’t do this alone! Your support will create pathways for success for individuals, families, and communities in school, work, and life.
Together, we will create pathways in the following key areas:
Preparing Immigrant Adults and Youth for the Workforce
Your support will empower 400 adults to secure family-sustaining wages, develop professional skills, and thrive in the workforce to reach their highest potential. Your support will also help 265 youth to become leaders and shape their own futures in higher education and career pathways.
Strengthening the Mental Health of Families
Your support will strengthen the mental health of families by supporting the launch of our mental health clinic and sustaining our current counseling, support groups, and workshops for Chinese-speaking families to overcome challenges and achieve success.
Provide High-Quality Care for Children
We believe culturally appropriate early education is critical to help Chinese-speaking immigrant working families thrive. Your support will improve education, close learning gaps, and strengthen social-emotional outcomes for children of working families.
Thank you for joining in our mission and making an impact on the lives of Asian and new immigrants.
