The Pao Arts Center is located at a historically important parcel of land, Parcel 24, which once housed over 200 Chinese immigrant families before they were displaced by the construction of I-90 and I-93. In partnership with Bunker Hill Community College, BCNC opened the Arts Center in 2017 to be Chinatown's first community-based arts center and Boston's newly dedicated Asian American and Asian immigrant cultural space.
