Programa de Empleo Juvenil
De 15 a 24 años
College Access and Post-Secondary Success Program (CAPS) is a free mentorship program that prepares high school students for post-secondary success. The program begins in the fall of junior year until the end of senior year in high school. Youth are matched with an adult volunteer to receive one-on-one mentoring on the college and post-secondary exploration process, participate in workshops on college essay writing, the application process, and financial, and attend free tours to local colleges.

Mentors typically commit to supporting youth for two years, through a young person’s junior and senior year in high school.
During the junior year, mentors are required to attend a match orientation and mentor training; and meet with their mentee biweekly for at least one hour (in person or virtually).
During the senior year, mentors connect with their mentee weekly during the fall and winter to support post-secondary planning and attend a senior orientation, financial aid training, and the end-of-year celebration.
