We strengthen parents and caregivers through classes and support groups where they learn positive parenting skills to build close parent-child relationships, develop children’s social-emotional learning skills, and reduce challenging behaviors.

Infant Massage

This 5-week course is designed for parents and caregivers and their babies (up to 12 months old) to improve a baby’s sleep quality, reduce gas and colic, and promote parent-child bonding.   

Mother’s Wellness Group

Mothers are invited to this support group to make social connections and improve their emotional well-being. These 90 minute weekly sessions for 10 to 12 mothers are led by clinical staff trained in interpersonal therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy for postpartum mothers. Child care, refreshments, and reimbursement for transportation are provided. 

Perinatal Health Workshops 

We offer educational workshops with health experts on topics relevant to expectant parents and families with infants. Topics may include nutrition during pregnancy, breastfeeding, dental care, shaken baby syndrome, infant sleep safety, postpartum care for mothers, and postpartum depression. 

Parenting Journey

This 10-week evidence-based program provides parents an opportunity to develop as a nurtured and nurturing individual, and to improve their capability of making responsible and informed choices in raising children. Dinner and child care are provided during each session.

Strengthening Families Program

Parents and children are invited to this evidence-based training program that focuses on parenting skills, children’s life skills, and family life skills. Parents and children participate in the program, separately and together. The program consists of 12 to 14 weekly sessions and dinner and child care are provided during each session.

Positive Solutions for Families

In this 7-week evidence-based program, parents and caregivers learn to utilize positive parenting skills for building close parent-child relationships, developing children’s social emotional learning skills, and reducing challenging behaviors. You will learn: Introduction to American Public Education; Special Education: Laws & Rights; and Technology & Education
