2019: Opened first Boston Public Schools Universal Pre-K Classrooms

In September 2019, BCNC opened its first Universal Pre-K (UPK) classroom for Boston Public Schools on the fifth floor of its 38 Ash Street location. This new classroom expands the Acorn Center for Early Education and Care’s services to include 4 and 5 year-old Boston residents, preparing them for kindergarten. While adhering to Boston Public Schools’ high-quality Pre-K curriculum, BCNC continues to provide dual-language instruction in Chinese and English, supporting the healthy development of Chinese immigrant children and their families.
