Nicole Smith (she/her)

Nicole Smith has been the Director of Adult Education at BCNC since 2025. Her journey with BCNC began in 2016 as an AmeriCorps Citizenship Educator. After completing her service term in the AmeriCorps’ New American Integration Program at BCNC, Nicole joined BCNC as an Employment Specialist in 2017. In 2023, Nicole was promoted to Assistant Director of Workforce Initiatives. In her current role, Nicole oversees the adult education programs and workforce initiatives in Boston and Quincy, which strengthen 400 adult immigrants on their paths to overcome barriers and shape their futures through language proficiency, economic independence, and active community participation.

Before BCNC, Nicole was a public school teacher in Chesterfield, Virginia and Hanover, Virginia where she taught beginning to advanced Latin to middle and high school students.

Nicole holds a BS in Education, Latin, and Classical Studies, with a minor in Art History from Randolph-Macon College and a TESOL certificate. Nicole also serves as clerk on the board of the Job Training Alliance and the board of governors at United First Parish Church in Quincy.
