Immigrant Opportunities Fair Goes Virtual

On Mondays, November 9th and November 16th, BCNC Adult Education and Workforce Initiatives program held sessions of the now-virtual Immigrant Opportunities Fair. Boston businesses and training programs presented job openings and other employment opportunities for students. 100 BCNC students of all different English levels attended as well as 5 students from other organizations.

The presenters went over the qualifications that students need to have and would gain from employment in different job fields—from IT to health care. Students and presenters also had individual conversations in breakout rooms.

The final opportunities fair session will take place on Monday November 23rd.

Special thanks to Asian American Civic Association, Boston Education, Skills & Training (BEST), International Institute of New England, Micro Tech Staffing Group, Pulpdent, Quincy Community Action Programs, South Shore Health, and Step1 Childcare for your partnership and bringing your presenters for students!
