Same Mission - New Chapter

In 2023, BCNC embarked on strategic planning process, engaging key stakeholders to reaffirm a commitment to our mission. As we move forward, BCNC remains a trusted resource, supporting new immigrants, especially Asians, with the resources they need to thrive in the United States.

This process marks the beginning of a new chapter.

BCNC has grown from a small community initiative in Boston Chinatown into an organization offering a broad range of holistic, family-centered programs and services. With deep roots in Boston's Chinatown, we reach 13,000 children, youth, and adults each year across three locations in Greater Boston, setting them up for success in school, work, and life. We also build vibrant communities through Pao Arts Center and our collaborations and research efforts.

In the coming months, we look forward to sharing stories from this new chapter - stories that highlight the impact we make on children as they grow with us into adults, the ways we strengthen family well-being, the opportunities we create to amplify the voices of Boston Chinatown, and our expansion beyond Chinatown. We also will share stories about the partnerships we are building and the research and advocacy we engage in to drive systemic change for our community.

We are excited to introduce a new logo that reflects this new chapter. The updated design builds on our original logo, which featured a house with the Chinese character for “person” as the roof. The new logo features multiple stacked roofs that point upward, symbolizing the limitless potential of those we serve. The multiple roofs represent:

  • Community – We impact many individuals, families, and communities.

  • Continual Growth – We serve different ages, and we see families grow through our programs.

  • Multiple Locations – We have expanded to multiple locations.

Thank you for being a part of BCNC’s journey. We are grateful for your continued support and look forward to sharing more with you soon!

Special thanks to Tammy Tai, Zamawa Arenas of flowetik, and Sarah Rainwater of Studio Rainwater for their guidance into BCNC’s latest chapter.
