2017: Pao Arts Center established 

Established in 2017 as a visionary partnership between BCNC and Bunker Hill Community College, Pao Arts Center is an important contributor to cultural equity in Greater Boston for the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. Through creative placemaking and community engagement, the Center fosters social connection, enhances individual and family well-being, and builds community cohesion. Pao Arts Center’s mission is to celebrate and strengthen the AAPI community of Chinatown and Greater Boston through access to culturally relevant art, education, and creative programs.
