Kit Yung, LMHC (she/her)

Kit Yung has been the Director of Family Services at BCNC since 2024. Her journey with BCNC began in 2013 as a clinical intern, and after completing her master’s degree, she joined as a full-time staff member in 2015, rejoining the organization in 2019. In her current role, Kit oversees family services programs, providing mental health support and social services to families while managing partnerships with community organizations. She is dedicated to delivering holistic, family-centered and culturally responsive services to the community.

Before BCNC, Kit gained extensive clinical experience in mental health counseling and music therapy, working with diverse populations in Boston and Hong Kong. She provided support to children with diverse abilities and individuals experiencing mental health challenges across various settings.

Kit holds a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Music Therapy from Lesley University and a BA in Music from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a certified Massachusetts Problem Gambling Specialist (MA PGS). Additionally, Kit is a certified Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor and has contributed to the development of the Chinese curriculum for the MHFA training program as a consultant for the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. She also serves on the Community Advisory Board (CAB) for the Advancing Equity in Health Research initiative. Kit has a certificate in Social Impact Management and Leadership from the Institute for Nonprofit Practice.
