Red Oak After School and Summer Program provides licensed out-of-school time care for children ages 5-13 in a multicultural environment. Your child will engage in creative activities to improve academic skills, social-emotional development, and language development. Your child will develop strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills to foster greater understanding of themselves and the world around them.
Summer (July – August)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 6:00 pm
- Session 1: July 6 – 31, 2026
- Session2: August 3 – 28, 2026
Fee: $1,683 per 4-week session. Sliding scale fees based on family gross income. Subsidized slots, scholarships, and sibling discount available.
Highlights:
- Literacy – Projects that expand interest in reading such as book clubs, dramatic play, public speaking, and writing workshops.
- Art – Projects to create photography, sewing, knitting, visual art, and scrapbooking. At the end of the summer, projects will be displayed at our Arts Showcase.
- Health and Movement – Healthy breakfast, hot lunch, snacks, and hours of movement and outdoor play.
- Field Trips – Weekly trips to a new place for a fun, learning, and adventure such as the Museum of Fine Arts, New England Aquarium, or the WNDR Museum.
2026 Theme: Little Giants – Great things can come in all shapes and sizes! We are going to prove that nobody is too young or too small to do, make, or be something special.
