您的工作

The Senior Group Leader is a member of the BCNC Red Oak After School & Summer Program team. You will have an opportunity to shape the lives of our children ages 5-13. You will work collaboratively with a team of professional staff to strengthen children and families by providing high-quality enrichment and care in a community-based program so parents can work or further their education. You will report directly to the Director of Red Oak After School & Summer Program.

• Act as a mentor and model best practices for new staff
• Provide guidance for the assistant and group leaders to develop classroom management skills
• Advise the Director about program operations and staff development during 1:1 meetings

• Monitor individual and/or group dynamics and track academic and behavioral issues, strategically implementing solutions
• Develop, plan, and implement weekly enrichment activities for children with support from your team, including, but not limited to: Art, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Literacy, and physical education
• Collaborate with group leaders to plan and coordinate curriculum
• 完成規定的學業和青少年成果調查 (SAYO) 和進度報告
• Lead and serve as the main point of contact during field trips, accompanying children around Boston while ensuring their growth, engagement, and safety
• Supervisor volunteers while they are in the classroom and are responsible for encouraging and coaching new volunteers and assistant group leaders
• Responsible for administrative tasks when the assistant administrator is not in the presence

• A minimum of twelve months of relevant experience with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree
• Interest and/or experience supporting children’s development in literacy, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), and/or the arts
• 在所有互動中保持積極和專業的態度
• 能夠在團隊導向的環境中有效地工作
• Experience working with people of different backgrounds and a high level of cultural  competency preferred
• 精通廣東話或普通話者優先

$22.25 – $24.00 hourly
