The CustomerFIRST (Customer-Focused Industry-Recognized Sales Training) Program is a free training for intermediate-advanced English language learners seeking full-time entry-level employment in the customer service industry. This program is held in partnership with the City of Boston Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development, MassHire Metro North Workforce Board and is a SNAP Path to Work program.

Our FREE training includes:

  • Customer service skills

  • Computer and phone skills

  • English for work

  • Job search and interview practice

  • One-on-one help every week with finding and keeping a job!

  • Exam preparation for an industry-recognized certificate

  • Eligible students may receive up to 4 monthly T-passes and/or a small stipend

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 9:30am-12:30pm

  • Plus 3 hours homework per week

  • 1 hour of 1-1 career counseling weekly

  • 16 hours of class total every week

Requirements:

  • Live in Greater Boston area

  • Low-income

  • Available to work 30 or more hours per week

  • Intermediate English level
