Family Child Care offers parents access to high-quality home care services and learning environments in Boston for children ages 3 months to 5 years old. Providers are licensed by the MA Department of Early Education and Care, and have professional core training, and CPR & First Aid certifications. BCNC and ABCD Head Start & Children's Services oversee and regularly visit the homes to ensure the safety of the children and to support the Family Child Care providers.
Family Child Care Homes:
Are open Monday to Friday from 8 am - 6 pm, year-round
Are friendly and comfortable family-style child care environments for children to learn and play
Accept subsidized slots such as Vouchers and EEC contract slots (depending on the family's income) and additionally, private/full-fee slots are available
Provide healthy meals including breakfast, lunch, and snacks that follow the Child and Adult Care Food Program guidelines, a federal nutrition assistance program
Are located in Boston neighborhoods including the South End, Mission Park, and Brighton and are available by public transportation and drop-off and pick-up by car are also convenient
