Are your kids excited by the colors, sounds, and movements of Chinese Lion Dance on the streets of Chinatown? Come inside and learn the steps of this traditional Chinese dance yourself and ring in the new year!
Drop-in for one of the free 30 minute workshops at 12 pm, 1 pm, or 2 pm. Workshops are geared towards children ages 5-12.

Stay for other family-friendly activities during our celebration or take a workshop on how to make traditional Chinese dumplings right before lunch and stick around for art making with the MFA!
About the Artists: Based in Boston, Nüwa Athletic Club, named after an ancient Chinese mythological goddess best known for creating mankind and repairing the pillar of heaven, provides an environment for Asian American girls and women to enhance their physical and emotional development through teamwork, sportsmanship and cultural activities, including lion and dragon dances.
Directions: The Pao Arts Center is located in the One Greenway building, 99 Kneeland Street. For GPS driving directions, use 66 Hudson Street, Boston, MA 02111. From Hudson Street, walk up the stairs and across the deck to the 99 Albany Street entrance. The public parking garage entrance is on Hudson Street. The Pao Arts Center is accessible by the MBTA green, red, and orange lines.
