Audience︰Parents of children with autism and other special needs, and parents who like to learn more about child development or seek for community support .

 Description︰

The Asian Outreach Center at GBLS provides guidance, referral services and free legal assistance to nearly 1,000 low-income Asian immigrants each year. Many of our clients speak very little – if any – English. Our staff speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, Toisanese and Vietnamese. Our goal is to be a gateway to legal services and the legal system for all low-income Asians who rely on us.

Jodie from Asian Outreach Center will take us through the process of getting IEP, Individualized Education Plan, for your children with special needs, how to advocate for your and your children’s rights at IEP meetings, and protect your children from bully at school.

大波士頓法律援助處的亞裔外展中心每年給大約1000位低收入的亞裔移民提供指導，轉介服務，以及免費的法律方面的協助。我們大部分客戶英語交流的能力不高，我們的工作人員會說廣東話，普通話，台山話，和越南話。我們的目標是為依靠我們的低收入的亞裔成員提供法律服務以及法律系統的鏈接。

亞裔外展中心的伍蔚婷律师會帶大家了解針對有特殊教育需求的孩子個性教育計劃的流程，如何在IEP會議里為自己和孩子維權，並且保護您的孩子在學校不被欺負。
