[Cancelled] In the Kitchen: Family-Friendly Eats

Because the health and safety for our artists, seniors, audiences, and community members is our priority, this event has been cancelled. Class participants will be contacted with new dates and fees will be refunded. Please feel free to reach out by email to ashley.yung@bcnc.net with any questions or concerns.

Join BCNC community member Forra Yu in making a family-friendly meal. Forra will be leading the class making chicken fingers with sweet & sour sauce and stir-fried rice, two simple and tasty meal for kids and adults alike!

The class fee includes an adult plus up to two children ages five and up. The fee is non-refundable unless the class is cancelled by BCNC. Materials will be provided.

About the Artist: Forra Yee Ngor Yu is a self-taught cook who immigrated to the United States from Hong Kong in 1978. When she couldn’t find her favorite dishes from home in Boston, she decided to recreate them. Forra specializes in classic Chinese dishes including dim sum.

Besides cooking, her other passion is serving her community. Currently, she is Treasurer of the Malden Lions Club and volunteers for several local non-profits. She finds the volunteer work very rewarding and fulfilling at a personal level.

She is currently employed as a Tax Compliance Officer in Wealth Management Services at State Street.

Directions: The Pao Arts Center is located in the One Greenway building, 99 Kneeland Street. For GPS driving directions, use 66 Hudson Street, Boston, MA 02111. From Hudson Street, walk up the stairs and across the deck to the 99 Albany Street entrance. The public parking garage entrance is on Hudson Street. The Pao Arts Center is accessible by the MBTA green, red, and orange lines.
