Ever wanted to tell your own Boston Chinatown story? Learn how you can develop your photography and storytelling skills with the Pao Arts Center, UMass Boston, and photographer Katie Salisbury.

The Inside Chinatown project, which will take place from January-June 2019, invites 10-12 community members to tell their story and history through photography. Learn to capture what Chinatown is today from your point of view. Each participant will receive a $350 honorarium.

Get a preview of the project and be inspired by Salisbury's work, Thank You, Enjoy, a project that tells the stories of Chinese immigrants who work in restaurants and takeouts in New York through photos and detailed, bilingual captions. The kick-off will include time to learn more about the project and to meet with Salisbury, and UMass Boston and Pao Arts Center staff.
