Since 2006, BCNC has been providing culturally competent and linguistically accessible behavioral and mental health services to Chinese-speaking immigrants through Family Services. Pandemic, racism, and immigration lead to increased levels of stress and mental health issues. This year, as we shift from emergency response mode because of the pandemic, we need your support to move Asian and new immigrants Beyond Surviving to Thriving.
The APA (American Psychology Association) found that 1 out of 2 Asian Americans suffering from mental health illness will not seek help due to language barriers. To further support the API and the new immigrant community to get the help they need, BCNC is committed to further expanding behavioral and mental health services.
