In Spring 2020, BCNC seeks to collaborate with Lenora Lee Dance to bring the premiere of Moving Histories to the Pao Arts Center. Moving Histories will weave together contemporary dance, video, music, and research with socially conscious activism, to embody the resilience, compassion, and genius of Boston’s Asian American community. This original piece will engage audiences on forgotten or unknown Asian American stories and shed light on the Asian American immigration story. The piece will be generated, directed, and performed by Asian artists, further amplifying the voices of Asian artists in America.
We are proud to announce the Pao Arts Center has been awarded a $10,000 matching grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to bring Moving Histories to Boston and we need your help. We need to raise $10,000 to secure this matching grant. Will you make a gift by August 1, 2019 to bring Moving Histories to Boston? This unique and powerful performance piece will expand the impact of arts and culture to the Greater Boston area.
