Chinese Historical Society of New England with the University Archives and Special Collections Department at UMass Boston presents a FREE community event to document Chinese American Experiences in Massachusetts by digitizing family photos and stories for researchers and future generations.
Anyone with a connection to the Chinese community in Massachusetts—including Chinese immigrants, Chinese Americans, international students, and adoptees—is encouraged to attend and bring one to three photos, either print or digital (CD, USB, or cell phone) that reflect Chinese American Experiences. These include snapshots or formal portraits of family moments, celebrations, ancestors, local businesses or organizations that are important to you.
This event is in partnership with Greater Malden Asian American Community Coalition (GMAACC), Quincy Asian Resources Inc, Greater Boston Chinese Cultural Association (GBCCA), and the BCNC Pao Arts Center.
