Remembering Kenneth Jue (1945-2022)
/We remember Kenneth Jue (1945-2022), a founder of the Quincy School Community Council, which became BCNC. Due to Ken’s activism, advocacy, and organizing with other founders, thousands of Boston Chinatown’s children, youth, and families have access to services to improve their lives.
As the former CEO of Monadnock Family Services for 33 years, Ken was a tireless servant who aimed to improve the health and well-being of families. Ken was recognized as a leader nationally and internationally through his consulting services on mental health services. Although he lived in New Hampshire, Ken continued to support BCNC and the neighborhood he grew up in, as a donor and ambassador.
As recent as a few weeks ago in April 2022, Ken introduced the Dutch International Mental Health Hub to BCNC and brought them in for a site visit to share learnings on comprehensive services for immigrants and refugees. At BCNC’s 50th Anniversary Founders Reunion in 2019, Ken shared the story of how BCNC was founded in an interview (please click on video below). Ken, your courage and dedication inspired and impacted many and you are greatly missed.
