BCNC Quincy Family Fun Fair Attracted Almost 600 Attendees

This past Saturday, July 29th, BCNC Quincy held an action-packed day that attracted almost 600 guests including children, youth, adults and families from around Quincy and the Greater Boston area.  The guests participated in either the Quincy 5K Fun Run or the free Quincy Family Fun Fair at Cavanaugh Stadium, North Quincy.

The 5K Fun Run, a new addition to BCNC’s Quincy Family Fun Fair was organized by BCNC’s Bamboo Circle team and took place at Merrymount Park, Quincy.  The runners came together for fun, fitness and to support BCNC Quincy’s Youth program.

The Quincy Family Fun Fair is the annual free event for children and families.  Children have the opportunity to run around inside and outside obstacle courses, pet baby farm animals at the miniature petting zoo, create all sorts of art, get their faces painted with their favorite designs and even attend a lion dance workshop.  For parents, this Fair also offers important health, financial and educational resources. Wally, the Green Monster of Red Sox fame made a special appearance to the delight of the crowds. The Fair culminates with the famous watermelon eating contest with the lucky winner taking home a watermelon.

Thank you to all those who helped make this event possible:
