Volleyball, Foosball, and Snacks: Alums Reconnect

YC Reunion Group Photo

As part of BCNC’s 50th Anniversary, we hosted a reunion for the Youth Center and Recreation programs on Saturday, August 3rd, 2019. Former participants, staff, and volunteers gathered at the Josiah Quincy School gym for a friendly volleyball tournament. Afterward, everyone made their way to the Youth Center lounge for socializing! Between games of foosball and In a Pickle, attendees shared memories over snacks and old photographs. Jeremy Mei, a former youth participant, recalls his favorite memories of BCNC were “coming in after school to hang out, participating in guy’s club, cooking club, digital connector, and playing computer games after 5pm.”

Through hands-on art activities, children developed their understanding and interest in arts, and improved communication between parents and children. In the last session, families will go on a field trip to the Museum of Fine Arts. Thank you to the MFA for this partnership!
