BCNC Portraits: Christy
/Christy is a current senior at North Quincy High School who attend BCNC Quincy programs. This summer she participated in the teen summer employment program.
Christy was part of a Smoke Free Chinatown team encouraged people to stop smoking creating bilingual pamphlets about tobacco and nicotine.
“I gained so much knowledge… and became more open and a better speaker. BCNC is a place to improve and learn.”
One particular area she feels like she made the made the most improvement was public speaking because “during the first week I didn't speak at all and then in the final week, I was giving a presentation to the other teen staff.”
