She started at BCNC as a early education teacher at the BCNC Acorn Center for Early Education and Care in 1984. They highlighted the many causes of problem gambling in the Asian community and presented a community project in Everette called Project RISE (Resilient Immigrants Striving for Equity) to provide community-based strategies for problem gambling prevention.

At BCNC, we worked to secure state funding to assist in mental health programming for families and youth. The gala is BCNC’s biggest event and fundraiser for the year, and raised nearly $500,000. The Gala includes a ceremonial lantern lighting with all VIPs and attendees, followed by a traditional 10 course Chinese banquet.
